outdoor-ac-unit-with-clipboard-on-itHave you scheduled spring maintenance for your air conditioner yet? If not, now is a perfect time! We typically recommend this service right before you need your system the most, so it has the best chance of making it through summer without needing repairs or breaking down on you unexpectedly. During maintenance, our technicians fully inspect your air conditioner, clean it inside and out, make adjustments, and recommend repairs to you if needed.

This all helps your air conditioner perform better, last longer, and keep you more comfortable! Of course, this type of maintenance service should be left to the professionals—forgoing professional maintenance and trying to do complex work on your own can actually void out the system warranty. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t steps you can take that help with overall maintenance. Curious? Read on!

That said, you’ll often see us recommend this service in the fall. After all, this is before you need your system the most, right? But no, that does not mean it’s too late now to schedule it if you skipped it this fall.

Your HVAC systems certainly play an important role in your overall indoor air quality, but they’re certainly not the only component. In fact, your HVAC system can actually contribute to lower indoor air quality just by their nature.

One of the common ways in which our indoor air quality suffers as we get closer to the winter months is with low humidity. The ideal relative humidity level in any home is between 30%-50%. Anything above this range means there’s too much moisture in the air—a common summertime problem—while anything below this range means it’s too dry. And dry air can be as bad in your home as humid air!
